Babaji and the 18 Siddha Kriya Yoga Tradition

Kriya Yoga
Kriya Yoga is a holy, scientific art of inner alchemy for "God, Truth union", and for Self-realization. It was revived for today’s humanity by the perfected master and spiritual world teacher, Kriya Babaji Nagaraj. Kriya Yoga is now taught through various branches of his disciples.
It is a practical distillation of Siddhanta, a synthesis of the ancient teachings of the Siddhas—the perfected yogic masters of south India. These teachings are represented by Siddha Tirumular’s Tirumandiram, Siddha Boganathar’s yoga of inner alchemy, and Siddha Patanjali’s famous Yoga Sutras, and are reflected in the 18 Siddha tradition of southern India.

The Teacher
Dharmadas (Dan Streeby) teaches Babaji’s Kriya Yoga with patience, clear explanations, and time for students to practice and ask questions. He helps you understand the techniques, bring them into daily life, and develop a consistent personal practice. His guidance continues after the weekend as questions arise and your practice deepens.
He has practiced Babaji’s Kriya Yoga since 2013 and has served as an Acharya in Babaji’s Kriya Yoga Order of Acharyas since 2019. His teaching draws on his own experience of greater ease, joy, and connection through regular practice.
Dharmadas lives in Boise, Idaho, with his wife, Allison, and their four children. He has worked as a pediatric dentist since 1999.
The Teaching
Receive clear instruction and practical training in yogic techniques, called Kriyas, to awaken, circulate, and strengthen your life energy. These practices help purify and strengthen the body, mind, and intellect, enhance awareness, and unfold your inner potential.
Learn to recognize and release the habitual patterns associated with karma, discover your dharma—your purpose and right action—and bring greater awareness and intention into your life. Through regular practice, you become more receptive to the expression of Divine Consciousness within you.
Discover your own direct experience as a source of wisdom, knowledge, and self-empowerment. The practices are meant to be brought into daily life, so that awareness gradually informs how you act, work, and relate to others.
During this first initiation, you’ll learn Kriya Kundalini Pranayama in six phases, seven meditation techniques, and eighteen physical postures. A sacred ceremony includes an invocation mantra to connect with the grace of Kriya Babaji and your own Inner Guru.

The Lineage
Babaji’s Kriya Yoga is rooted in the teachings of Babaji and the 18 Siddhas of southern India. These teachers approached yoga as a complete path of transformation, encompassing the body, breath, mind, and spiritual life.
Babaji’s Kriya Yoga Order of Acharyas was founded by M. Govindan Satchidananda, inspired by Babaji and his teacher, Yogi S.A.A. Ramaiah. Its authorized teachers pass on the practices through personal instruction in three progressive levels of initiation.
This weekend introduces the first level and provides a foundation for regular practice at home. Further initiations offer additional practices and opportunities to deepen your experience.
By completing all three levels, you can learn the full system of 144 Kriyas and how to bring them together in a balanced practice that supports the body, life energy, mind, intellect, and spiritual development. Each level builds on the practice and experience developed in the previous one.
Students are welcome to repeat an initiation to clarify their understanding and renew their practice.
